Der Swiss Ethics Award zeichnet Projekte aus, die im Bereich der Wirtschaft neue ethische Massst\u00e4be setzen. Der Award wird alle zwei Jahre durch das Swiss Excellence Forum verliehen. Am 20. April 2016 fand die Preisverleihung im Rahmen der Schweizer Unternehmertagung im KKL Luzern statt. Die ethische Verantwortung der Wirtschaft stand im Zentrum der Referate von Nadja Lang, Gesch\u00e4ftsleiterin Max Havelaar-Stiftung (Schweiz), Roger de Weck, Generaldirektor SRG und Prof. Dr. Dr. Franz Josef Radermacher, Institut f\u00fcr Datenbanken und k\u00fcnstliche Intelligenz, Universit\u00e4t Ulm.<\/p>\n

Beitrag zur Erhaltung der Biodiversit\u00e4t<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nach der Migros (2014) holte sich Weleda den Ethik-Preis mit ihrem Projekt \u201eEthische Beschaffung nat\u00fcrlicher Rohstoffe“. Seit 2010 ist Weleda Mitglied bei der UEBT. Die Mitgliedschaft erfordert die Entwicklung und Umsetzung eines \u201eBiodiversity Management Systems“, das dem Unternehmen und seinen Lieferketten als Instrument f\u00fcr ein kontinuierliches Monitoring und graduellen Verbesserungsprozess dienen soll. Wie komplex die Umsetzung dieses Systems ist, zeigen die sieben Prinzipien, die dem UEBT-Standard zugrunde liegen. So wird u.a. die Erhaltung der Biodiversit\u00e4t gefordert (Massnahmen zum Schutz der Artenvielfalt), die nachhaltige Nutzung der biologischen Vielfalt, die sozio-\u00f6konomische Nachhaltigkeit bei den Lieferanten (Sicherung von Nachhaltigkeit und Wirtschaftlichkeit), Access- and Benefit-sharing (gerechte Verteilung des Gewinns, der durch die Nutzung von landestypischen Rohstoffen oder traditionellem Wissen erzielt wird) oder Respekt f\u00fcr die Rechte der Akteure, die in die BioTrade Aktivit\u00e4ten involviert sind (z.B. Sicherheitstrainings und Schulungen, Ausschluss von Diskriminierungen usw.).<\/p>\n

Soziales Engagement ausgezeichnet<\/strong><\/p>\n

Die Gradlinigkeit und Konsequenz, mit der Weleda ihre Verantwortung gegen\u00fcber Mensch und Umwelt wahrnimmt und ihr Mut, sich dabei auch auf potenziell kontroverse und ergebnisoffene Lernprozesse einzulassen, wird von der Jury als herausragende Leistung ausgezeichnet und gew\u00fcrdigt.<\/p>\n

F\u00fcr den Preis nominiert waren auch die Despite GmbH und Die Sozialfirma AG. Despite hat ein innovatives Assessment f\u00fcr Vertrauenspersonen entwickelt. Die Sozialfirma vereint mit ihrem Gesch\u00e4ftsmodell soziales Engagement und wirtschaftliches Handeln und integriert damit handicapierte Arbeitnehmer in den ersten Arbeitsmarkt.<\/p>\n
