Process platform to digitize broker insurance market

Digitalisation in the broker market is picking up speed. IG B2B is committed to process standardisation between specialist brokers and insurers.

After IG B2B has already created the technical prerequisites for digitalisation, it now wants to give brokers decisive support in its implementation. A software tool is currently being developed under the project name GIRAFFE, which will allow all broker software manufacturers and brokers to use all core processes of IG B2B with all the necessary functionalities with immediate effect.

These are namely all common branches in the offer system (branch-specific and generic), mandate system, in the preparation of contracts, in invoicing, in commissioning, in the actual claims area, in claims return and in communication.

After seven well-known insurance companies have already built or are currently building a connection to the DXP service (Allianz, Axa, Basler, Generali, Mobiliar, Swica and Zurich), more and more business processes between insurers and brokers are being handled fully automatically.

"The complete digitization of the broker side provides the necessary investment protection on the insurer side," Michael John, President of IG B2B, is pleased to say, "they can rely on IG B2B to traffic their interfaces as they connect their legacy systems, which can be costly."

Free software

GIRAFFE is a complete process execution platform for brokers. The software will be made available to all broker members of IG B2B (incl. broker software manufacturers) free of charge. The presentation of the solution and the handover to the market will take place during this year's BrokerConvent on 16 November 2016.
