Many already work with a well-functioning Shopfloor Management (SFM), which maps essential parameters thanks to daily visualization. This helps to ensure that deviations from the target state can be immediately identified and addressed on a daily basis.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A modified form of this well-known shop floor management is embodied in the Just-Do-It-Meeting, or JDI Meeting for short. Shopfloor management according to the Just-Do-It method is particularly suitable for companies with long order throughput times (e.g. machine and plant manufacturers) and supports them in order processing when problems need to be solved quickly. Companies that already operate JDI meetings with success are, for example, B\u00fchler AG or also Ferrum AG.<\/p>\n And how does that work?<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n JDI meetings are held daily. They are attended by all function holders of a process, from sales to accounting. Each individual process step from the customer order to the final payment is documented with an order sheet for each machine and hung on a \"process line\". The target dates are set at the kick-off meeting and are \"sacred\". The order sheets are pulled over defined fixed points and provided with action cards in the event of problems.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The aim is to make the need for action visible to everyone within ten seconds. Milestones must be formulated precisely. The corresponding actions are quickly assigned. There is no room for long explanations. The question \"Who does what by when?\" must be answered within a maximum of two minutes.<\/p>\n Many good reasons for JDI<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The benefits of Just Do It meetings are obvious. First of all, this type of shop floor management promotes team spirit and mutual understanding. In addition, there is maximum transparency with regard to the actual need for action. And there is a different approach to communication, because it takes place much more directly between all participants. The \"ping-pong game\" and shifting of responsibilities disappears. The ambition of each individual participant increases. Problems are tackled immediately - and also solved.<\/p>\n The positive conclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The pressure to implement agreed actions is increased by the daily commitment in front of the assembled team. Deadlines, costs and specifications are thus adhered to. By the way, JDI meetings can not only be used for the execution of processes alone.
