As the adoption of AI is rapidly advancing, the roles and responsibilities of cybersecurity professionals are evolving to meet the growing need in organizations to secure AI systems and manage AI risks. The new exam guidelines provide exam candidates and their employers with an understanding of how AI security concepts are integrated into the exam content of the ISC2 certifications. \u00abThe rigorous maintenance of ISC2 certifications ensures that we pay attention to the changes in job roles and the knowledge, skills and competencies cybersecurity professionals need to successfully protect their organizations,\u00bb said Casey Marks, Chief Operating Officer of ISC2. \u00abThe guidance released today shows how securing AI systems is increasingly being incorporated into our exam content and that exam candidates are demonstrating their expertise in one of the most pressing security challenges of our time.\u00bb<\/p>\n

Checks are updated regularly<\/h3>\n

ISC2's Artificial Intelligence Exam Guidelines show where AI concepts appear in more than 50 core areas of cybersecurity exams across ISC2's certification portfolio.<\/p>\n

Through the rigorous, three-year exam update cycle - including job task analysis (JTA), exam blueprint development, exam question creation, peer review, standard setting and publication - certified subject matter experts and industry practitioners confirm that the ISC2 exams meet real-world job requirements. As AI skills merge with the core areas of cybersecurity, these experts regularly integrate AI-related tasks and security aspects into the exam blueprints, ensuring that the ISC2 exams remain relevant, current and challenging.<\/p>\n

AI security concepts have been integrated into the core areas of cybersecurity, including security and risk management, asset security, security architecture and engineering, communications and network security, security assessment and testing, security operations and software development security, and other areas. Development of new AI safety skills<\/strong><\/h3>\n
