With the election of former LifeWatch CEO Stephan Rietiker, the Board of Directors of BioTelemetry Inc, former shareholders of LifeWatch AG (listed on the SIX until the end of 2017), has gained a competent leader. Rietiker will thus also become active at the new US parent company.<\/p>\n

Stephan Rietiker's professional career in Switzerland has taken him through companies such as Roche, Boehringer Mannheim, Schering Plough and Covance. His best-known mandates to date were as CEO of Sulzer Medica\/Centerpulse and CEO of the digital health company LifeWatch AG in Switzerland and the USA, which was successfully sold to BioTelemetry Inc (BEAT; NASDAQ) in the USA in July 2017.<\/p>\n

Stephan Rietiker increasingly active in Switzerland again<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the future, the experienced turnaround manager and healthcare expert will again be found increasingly in Switzerland and Europe. The Swiss-based manager is already being called upon as an expert by various companies and organizations in the areas of digitalization of healthcare services (digital health).<\/p>\n

His particular focus, however, is on the structuring of business activities of Swiss companies in the currently booming markets of the USA. In direct and indirect connection with these topics, Rietiker also addresses the sensitive issue of shareholder activism or activist investors, which is emerging in Switzerland.<\/p>\n

Editor and author of the publication \"US Business World Demystified\".<\/strong><\/p>\n

In November 2017, Rietiker published \"US Business World Demystified\". He is convinced that it will continue to be worthwhile for Swiss and Europeans to be active in the USA, whether in a leading position as a manager, entrepreneur, investor or even as the owner of a private or listed company.<\/p>\n

In his guidebook, Rietiker points out that understanding the key cultural, legal, political and economic differences between the USA and Switzerland\/Europe can be viewed quite positively from a liberal perspective and could be a decisive factor for success, assuming that one knows the USA-specific guidelines and laws in detail and also follows them strictly.<\/p>\n
