maxon motor, the specialist for mechatronic drive systems, is preparing for the future and adapting its management structures. The current management is changing into Group Management. This body will continue to drive forward the ongoing expansion of the sales, development and production centres worldwide and is responsible for the strategic direction of the maxon Group with its 2,800 employees. At the same time, the Swiss headquarters will be given its own local management. This took up its work on 1 January 2019. Daniel von Wyl, who has been Head of maxon medical for many years, will now take over the position of Local Managing Director in Sachseln. The final handover of all tasks will take place in 2020.<\/p>\n

There are two changes in the Group Executive Board: Bj\u00f6rn Axelsson has joined the team as of January 1, 2019. He fills the newly created position of Group Human Resources Officer.<\/p>\n

COO Peter Gr\u00fctter, on the other hand, is leaving Group Management. He has been with maxon since December 2013 and is now focusing on new challenges within the Group. Among other things, he is responsible for the integration of the British electric motor manufacturer Parvalux with around 180 employees, which was acquired by maxon at the end of 2018. He is also responsible for setting up maxon's production site in Taunton (USA), which was opened in March 2019.<\/p>\n

Eugen Elmiger remains CEO of the maxon Group. He says: \"We are very pleased that we have been able to win Bj\u00f6rn Axelsson for maxon and that he will make a decisive contribution to our company in the newly created position of Group HR Manager. I would like to thank Peter Gr\u00fctter for his great commitment over the last 5 years and wish him every success in his new role\".<\/p>\n
