Laser Light Communications (USA) and its subsidiary Laser Light Global LTD (UK) have chosen to partner with Equinix, Inc. a global provider of interconnection and data center services. Equinix will serve as a strategic interconnection partner for Laser Light's All Optical Hybrid Global Network (HALO), the world's first hybrid optical network using only laser technology.<\/p>\n

Market launch \u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

The collaboration kicks off with the establishment of Laser Light's first global Point of Presence (PoP) at the Equinix International Business Exchange\u2122 (IBX\u00ae) DC11 data center in Washington State. Additional Laser Light PoPs are planned for Equinix locations in Europe, Japan, Brazil, Australia and the Middle East.<\/p>\n

At DC11, Laser Light will begin installing, testing and demonstrating its next-generation laser communications and SD-WAN equipment.<\/p>\n

Once this infrastructure is reliably operational, Laser Light will offer its Optical Satellite as a Service (OSaaS) services via the HALO satellites. SpaceCable\u2122 services will be available as an all-optical communications system for carriers, enterprises and government agencies in Equinix's global data centers.<\/p>\n

This hybrid network of seamlessly connected terrestrial and satellite networks will then allow any two points on the globe to be connected quickly and cost-effectively at 100 Gbps.<\/p>\n
