(Image : CTP Air Pollution Control)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Le protoxyde d'azote fait partie des \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre les plus fortes, mais souvent n\u00e9glig\u00e9es, des stations d'\u00e9puration des eaux us\u00e9es. Il est stable, reste plus de 100 ans dans l'atmosph\u00e8re et a un potentiel de r\u00e9chauffement climatique 250 \u00e0 300 fois plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 que le CO\u2082. \u00abL'importance de la r\u00e9duction du protoxyde d'azote provenant des stations d'\u00e9puration est souvent sous-estim\u00e9e, bien que ces \u00e9missions - principalement issues de la phase de traitement biologique - repr\u00e9sentent une part consid\u00e9rable de l'\u00e9quivalent CO\u2082\u00bb, explique Gerd Rabenstein, COO de CTP Air Pollution Control GmbH, bas\u00e9e \u00e0 St. Paul im Lavanttal en Autriche. Pendant longtemps, ces \u00e9missions sont rest\u00e9es largement ignor\u00e9es. Mais avec des objectifs concrets en mati\u00e8re de climat, le traitement cibl\u00e9 du protoxyde d'azote attire l'attention.<\/p>\n<h3>Solution sur mesure de protoxyde d'azote pour la STEP de Berne<\/h3>\n<p>Dans la station d'\u00e9puration des eaux us\u00e9es de Berne (ARA Bern), plus de 10 000 tonnes d'\u00e9quivalents CO\u2082 de protoxyde d'azote (N\u2082O) \u00e9taient \u00e9galement lib\u00e9r\u00e9es chaque ann\u00e9e dans l'\u00e9tape de traitement biologique et le traitement des eaux de fermentation - soit environ 80 % des \u00e9missions totales de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre de l'installation. La mise en service d'une installation d'oxydation thermique r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rative (RTO) en ao\u00fbt 2025 a d\u00e9sormais marqu\u00e9 une \u00e9tape importante pour la r\u00e9duction cibl\u00e9e de ces \u00e9missions. La solution de CTP Air Pollution Control permet de r\u00e9duire ces \u00e9missions de mani\u00e8re significative et \u00e9conomique, sans affecter le fonctionnement de la station d'\u00e9puration des eaux us\u00e9es. Aujourd'hui, la technologie du sp\u00e9cialiste de la purification de l'air CTP permet d'\u00e9liminer la quasi-totalit\u00e9 des \u00e9missions de N\u2082O de l'air sortant de l'\u00e9tape de traitement biologique et du traitement des eaux de fermentation - une contribution d\u00e9cisive \u00e0 l'objectif \u00abz\u00e9ro net\u00bb dans les stations d'\u00e9puration.<\/p>\n<p>Les syst\u00e8mes RTO sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme particuli\u00e8rement flexibles et peuvent \u00eatre optimis\u00e9s en fonction de param\u00e8tres tels que la capacit\u00e9 d'\u00e9puration, l'efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique ou la perte de charge. L'installation utilis\u00e9e \u00e0 Berne est \u00e9galement une solution sur mesure, sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7ue pour r\u00e9pondre aux exigences de la station d'\u00e9puration. La STEP de Berne utilise un mod\u00e8le avec trois accumulateurs de chaleur en c\u00e9ramique qui fonctionnent en alternance et r\u00e9cup\u00e8rent presque enti\u00e8rement la chaleur contenue dans l'air \u00e9vacu\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h3>Technologie RTO : les mol\u00e9cules de protoxyde d'azote d\u00e9compos\u00e9es \u00e0 haute temp\u00e9rature<\/h3>\n<p>Dans la chambre de combustion de l'installation RTO, les mol\u00e9cules de protoxyde d'azote sont d\u00e9compos\u00e9es \u00e0 haute temp\u00e9rature en leurs \u00e9l\u00e9ments de base, l'azote et l'oxyg\u00e8ne. \u00abLes proc\u00e9d\u00e9s catalytiques se heurtent \u00e0 des limites, car les catalyseurs peuvent \u00eatre empoisonn\u00e9s et n'atteignent qu'une faible dur\u00e9e de vie\u00bb, explique Rabenstein. \u00abAvec notre solution robuste, le protoxyde d'azote est presque enti\u00e8rement d\u00e9compos\u00e9\u00bb. Gr\u00e2ce aux \u00e9changeurs de chaleur r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratifs, l'installation fonctionne en outre de mani\u00e8re tr\u00e8s efficace sur le plan \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique, et en utilisant du biogaz comme combustible, l'exploitation peut m\u00eame \u00eatre climatiquement neutre.<\/p>\n<p>La grande efficacit\u00e9 de la technologie RTO a \u00e9galement convaincu des organisations de soutien ind\u00e9pendantes : la fondation suisse pour la protection du climat et la compensation du CO\u2082 \u00abKliK\u00bb soutient d\u00e9j\u00e0 plusieurs projets de r\u00e9duction du protoxyde d'azote dans les stations d'\u00e9puration et a r\u00e9cemment rendu hommage \u00e0 l'installation RTO de Berne en tant qu'exemple exemplaire. \u00abCela montre que notre technologie est reconnue aussi bien dans la pratique qu'au niveau institutionnel\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Rabenstein.<\/p>\n<h3>Variante compacte plug-and-play : la \u00abDeNitroBox\u00bb.\u00bb<\/h3>\n<p>Outre les grandes installations, CTP propose \u00e9galement une solution compacte plug-and-play pour les petits flux d'air sortant : la DeNitroBox. Elle est install\u00e9e dans un conteneur de 20 pieds et permet une r\u00e9duction de N\u2082O de 90 % avec une consommation d'\u00e9nergie minimale. Des pays comme la Suisse ou le Danemark imposent d\u00e9j\u00e0 les premi\u00e8res directives pour la r\u00e9duction de N\u2082O. En tant que leader technologique, nous pouvons proposer \u00e0 nos clients une technologie sophistiqu\u00e9e et \u00e9prouv\u00e9e dans de nombreuses applications \u00e0 cet effet\u00bb, explique Rabenstein.
