La Suisse pourrait r\u00e9duire consid\u00e9rablement les co\u00fbts pharmaceutiques en augmentant la prescription de biosimilaires. C'est la conclusion d'une \u00e9tude du Winterthur Institute for Health Economics (TIG<\/a>) de la ZHAW School of Management and Law (SML<\/a>). Elle est affili\u00e9e \u00e0 la Haute \u00e9cole sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e de Zurich (ZHAW<\/a>) affili\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Contrairement \u00e0 d'autres pays europ\u00e9ens, les biosimilaires ne sont utilis\u00e9s avec retenue qu'en Suisse. Ces imitateurs de pr\u00e9parations originales qui ne sont plus prot\u00e9g\u00e9es par un brevet ne sont en aucun cas inf\u00e9rieurs aux originaux en termes d'efficacit\u00e9 et de s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Dans le m\u00eame temps, ils sont jusqu'\u00e0 25 % moins chers. Cependant, moins de biosimilaires ont \u00e9t\u00e9 approuv\u00e9s en Suisse que dans l'Union europ\u00e9enne. En outre, les m\u00e9decins ont moins d'exp\u00e9rience avec les biosimilaires qu'avec les produits originaux.<\/p>\n

\"Nous avons pu montrer dans notre analyse que l'utilisation accrue de biosimilaires en Suisse pourrait r\u00e9duire de mani\u00e8re significative les co\u00fbts des m\u00e9dicaments de l'assurance maladie obligatoire\", a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le directeur de l'institut, Simon Wieser, dans un communiqu\u00e9 de presse.\u00a0Communiqu\u00e9 de presse<\/a>\u00a0cit\u00e9. Les auteurs estiment que les \u00e9conomies potentielles pour six des plus importants ingr\u00e9dients actifs pourraient atteindre 100 millions de francs suisses sur trois ans. Pour y parvenir, il faudrait prescrire aux nouveaux patients davantage de biosimilaires. Si les personnes qui avaient pris les pr\u00e9parations originales auparavant passaient \u00e9galement aux biosimilaires, les \u00e9conomies seraient encore plus importantes.<\/p>\n
