(Fonte: Scuola di Scienze della Vita della FHNW)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Thomas Vetter ha studiato ingegneria chimica al Politecnico di Zurigo e ha approfondito le sue conoscenze nel campo della chimica e della bioingegneria. Dopo aver conseguito il dottorato di ricerca sulla cristallizzazione delle molecole organiche, che gli \u00e8 valso il premio EFCE Excellence Award, ha fatto esperienza presso l'Universit\u00e0 della California a Santa Barbara e nell'industria presso la Eli Lilly &amp; Company di Indianapolis. In seguito ha diretto un gruppo di ricerca su questioni industriali e fondamentali nella tecnologia delle particelle e nella chimica dei cristalli come professore all'Universit\u00e0 di Manchester. Dal 2020 al 2025 \u00e8 stato responsabile di un dipartimento presso la Lundbeck di Copenaghen per la scoperta e la caratterizzazione di forme cristalline di nuovi prodotti farmaceutici e il loro sviluppo di processo dal laboratorio alla scala di centinaia di chilogrammi.<\/p>\n<p>Presso l'Istituto di ingegneria farmaceutica e biotecnologia, il Prof. Vetter contribuir\u00e0 con la sua esperienza nell'insegnamento e nella ricerca applicata e stabilir\u00e0 nuove collaborazioni con l'industria e la ricerca. Ci\u00f2 consentir\u00e0 agli studenti di apprendere in modo pratico e di ampliare le loro competenze per l'industria farmaceutica, mentre i partner industriali beneficeranno di competenze approfondite nello sviluppo dei processi e nella tecnologia delle particelle. Con questo rafforzamento, l'istituto continua a concentrarsi strategicamente sull'insegnamento innovativo, sulla ricerca applicata e sulla stretta collaborazione con l'industria.
