Integrated CRM software for asset management

New, stricter regulations in the compliance area of asset management will require even stricter management of client data from 2017. The Swiss company Alphasys IT Services AG, a specialist in financial and banking software, is developing a comprehensive, browser-based CRM solution that is fully integrated into the Netfolio portfolio management system. This simplifies processes and improves efficiency.

Most portfolio management systems (PMS) have none or only a simple tool for customer relationship management (CRM), usually integrated via interfaces. Person-specific data must therefore be entered multiple times, which is time-consuming and error-prone. An integrated complete solution is a great need due to the increasing complexity.

"Know your Customer" is mandatory

The legal regulations require that the contractual partners and beneficial owners are documented, including the risk profile and portfolio relations. With the fully integrated and comprehensive NetfolioCRM, which is currently being developed by Alphasys, a person with all the necessary additional information only needs to be recorded and managed once. In addition, the relevant documents can be directly assigned to a person electronically. Persons can also be linked to each other, which improves the overview.

The networked structures make it possible to compile identification data for reporting to FINMA, SROs and others with little effort. The relationships can be easily classified into different risk categories using various parameters. In addition, it will be possible in future to include a personal check. This simplifies the "know your customer" task for compliance with the Anti-Money Laundering Act.

Customer-oriented expansion of CRM

With Netfolio, ScanEngine and MiniCRM, Alphasys already offers a complete portfolio management software. It is browser-based and has recently become fully responsive, which means it can also be used on smartphones and tablets regardless of location. However, the existing MiniCRM has too few functions for the tightened compliance regulations from 2017. In collaboration with a proven compliance expert and in line with the needs of customers and the stricter regulations, Alphasys has developed a new concept for a comprehensive, integrated CRM: the NetfolioCRM.

Selected customers have reviewed the specifications and contributed suggestions for optimisation. Alexandre Weintraub from Belvoir Capital AG, who has worked with Netfolio for years as COO and influenced the development of the CRM with his inputs, states: "The design and structure of the CRM are logical and user-friendly. It is very comprehensive and covers the most important topics and needs."

Overview of activities anytime and anywhere

The new CRM will give Netfolio users who look after their clients in different areas such as asset management, tax advice, real estate advice or insurance a better overview. It shows at any time who has had or will have contact with a customer in which sector and which pending issues are currently being processed and by whom.

Extended contact details of external specialists from the various divisions will also be visible in the system. The central archiving of contracts and documents, including proof of validity, has also been solved. Various functions will be available to both client advisors and clients.

The technical implementation of the comprehensive CRM is currently being defined by Alphasys and will be implemented by the end of 2016.
